Brian's extensive experience includes direct financing of companies through private equity and lending, as well as investments in local capital markets. He has collaborated with financial institutions, small and large businesses, and organizations across various industries, including port infrastructure, conventional and renewable energy, real estate, FMCG, hotel construction and operation, farming, livestock, ICT, and private equity.
At CSI Energy Group, Brian leverages his wealth of experience to manage investments and projects from lead origination through due diligence and contract negotiation to financial close and portfolio management. His expertise in representing shareholder interests on numerous boards is invaluable, with a strong focus on corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, and strategic development.

Chris is the Founder and Group CEO of CSI Energy Group, where he has led the organization from a single service company to a diversified company with three business clusters. His visionary leadership drives the development and execution of long-term strategies aimed at increasing shareholder value. Under his guidance, CSI Energy Group has delivered numerous complex, high-specification projects to international standards for clients in the Oil & Gas, Mining, Power & Infrastructure, and Renewables sectors.
In addition to leading CSI Energy Group, Chris founded Endelevu, an investment-focused company. His career began in the early 1990s in the UK electrical contracting industry, and he has since dedicated himself to contributing to the sustainable growth of the African continent. Chris has a strong track record of initiating and leading change, driving results, strengthening operational risk and compliance, and innovating within the rapidly evolving energy landscape.

Collaborating with internal and external cross-functional partners, he ensures that the brand philosophy is reflected in every aspect of the Group’s activities. Additionally, Stephane overlooks the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) efforts of the group, integrating sustainable practices and promoting corporate responsibility throughout the organization. Stephane is sensitive to the impact the organization can have on people and firmly believes in the potential of people doing good.
Before joining CSI Energy Group in 2021, Stephane was the Head Strategist for Advertising, Digital & PR at Magna Carta Reputation Management Consultants Mauritius. This role was part of Africa’s largest and most respected reputational management consultancy and Ketchum’s exclusive affiliate in Africa. He managed a diverse portfolio of local and international clients across various industries, including Corporate, FMCG, Finance, and Hospitality.
Stephane holds a Double Major Bachelor in Commerce, Management, and Marketing from Curtin University (Australia) and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM). Based in Mauritius, his creative approach and comprehensive experience make him an invaluable asset to CSI Energy Group. Benoît Bénicourt
Project Director - Development

Professionally, Benoît has over a decade of experience in the renewable energy sector, backed by a robust academic foundation. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from ENSEA Engineering School in Cergy, France, and another Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, USA. Further enhancing his strategic and management skills, Benoît earned an MBA from Sorbonne University in Paris, France. As a certified engineer, these qualifications have provided a solid framework for his diverse professional experiences, including starting, operating, and consolidating businesses to ensure their stability and sustainability.
Benoît’s personal business venture, EXOSEAT, is a consultancy service through which he has lent his expertise to various entities. As part of a consulting agreement, Benoît serves as the Project Director for the Energy Development Cluster. His role is to enhance various operational aspects of the organization, marking the beginning of an exciting chapter with CSI Energy Group. Here, Benoît applies his international experience and knowledge in renewable energy to drive strategic initiatives forward.
Throughout his career, Benoît has been active in the renewables sector, starting with a role at a French IPP that expanded into a startup with over 500 employees. He has also been involved in establishing subsidiaries of this French IPP. His career has spanned several countries, including the United States, France, Reunion Island, Mauritius, Madagascar, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, and more recently, various countries in Africa. This international footprint has further defined his modus operandi and business acumen, making him a valuable asset to CSI Energy Group.

His extensive background includes managing high-value projects across the globe, from Paris to Moscow to the Yamal Peninsula in Russia, showcasing his ability to adapt and thrive in diverse environments.
Gaëtan’s academic journey laid a strong foundation for his career. He holds a Master of Engineering from Arts et Métiers ParisTech, with a specialization in fluids engineering and rotating machinery. This robust educational background has equipped him with the technical knowledge necessary to excel in his field. In his most recent role as Project Manager at Plastic Energy, Gaëtan oversaw the construction of an end-of-life plastic recycling plant, managing the project from FEED to startup. Prior to this, Gaëtan held senior positions on significant projects such as the Arctic LNG 2 Project and the Yamal LNG Project, where he was instrumental in construction and interface engineering, managing subcontractors, and coordinating complex logistical operations.

Before joining CSI Energy Group, Rose held the position of COO at Inspexion.com, where she successfully implemented ISO 9001:2015 certification, developed key performance indicators (KPIs), and managed customer satisfaction and platform processes. Her role was pivotal in driving the growth and success of the company by ensuring operational excellence and high standards of quality.
Earlier in her career, Rose served as the Quality Director at COMDATA Madagascar, where she led the establishment of operations, implemented ISO 18295 within the processing center, and cultivated a team culture focused on quality and results. She also played a significant role in various other positions, such as Senior Quality Project Manager at IBL Energy and Engineering Manager at Manser Saxon Contracting – IBL Group.
Rose holds an engineering degree in Water Treatment from Paul Sabatier University, a Master's degree in Science in Water Treatment from Limoges University, and a degree in Hydro-sanitation from the University of Montpellier. In his professional role, Mutalemwa serves as the Commercial Supervisor at CSI Energy Group. With over 14 years of experience in the construction industry, he focuses on reducing costs and enhancing organizational efficiency and impact on projects. His passion lies in meticulously managing costs, ensuring project efficiency, and contributing to successful project delivery. He oversees various aspects of commercial operations, sales, and client management, including strategy development, client relationship management, contract negotiation, market analysis, regulatory compliance, and business development.
Mutalemwa holds a Bachelor in Building Economics from the University of Dar es Salaam and is a Professional Quantity Surveyor. He holds the distinction of Registered Quantity Surveyor from the Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Tanzania and is an esteemed member of the Tanzania Institute of Quantity Surveyors (TIQS), contributing to the professional growth and development of the field.
Since joining CSI Energy Group in 2018, Mutalemwa has been based in Tanzania and has worked on several high-profile projects across Africa. These include the Kinyerezi II 240MW Combined Cycle Power Station in Dar es Salaam, the Kinyerezi I 185MW Power Station Extension Project in Dar es Salaam, the Lusaka Water Supply, Sanitation, and Drainage Project in Zambia, the Julius Nyerere International Airport Terminal III Electrical Package in Dar es Salaam, and the Women Health Pavilion Hospital, Kigutu Burundi MEP Package in Burundi. His expertise and dedication make him an invaluable asset to CSI Energy Group.
Irfan Lodhi
Regional Operations Manager
Irfan is a true supporter of talent development, leading and training fresh graduates involved in different group projects. He believes that human development and infrastructure can significantly improve people's lives, and he is committed to fostering growth and excellence in his team. In his professional role, Irfan serves as the Regional Operations Manager at CSI Energy Group. He oversees the overall operations of the projects within the company's Contracting business cluster across Africa. With a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from NED University of Engineering & Technology (Pakistan), Irfan is well-versed in construction procedures and methodologies. He has worked on projects of international standards with EPC Contractors and Main Contractors across a spectrum of industries, including malls, hospitals, power plants, substations, High Voltage Transmission line, airports, and VVIP palaces. He leads and manages a team for estimation and tendering, actively collaborating with the Business Development Cluster to provide essential support.
Earlier in his career, Irfan served as an MEP Planning Engineer at Drake and Scull Qatar, and as a Senior Planning Engineer and Delay Claim Analyst at Urbacon Trading & Contracting. His experience spans various international projects, including the Mall of Qatar, Dar es Salaam Tanzania International Airport, Kilimanjaro Tanzania International Airport, Kinyerezi II 240 MW CCPP Tanzania, Kinyerezi I Extension Power Plant Tanzania, Lusaka Pumping Station Project Zambia, Olkaria 1 Additional Unit 6 Project Kenya, VVIP Lusail Palace Qatar and Ahafo 161kV Transmission line Ghana.

Christine currently holds the role of Sustainability Manager at CSI Energy Group. Additionally, she oversees HSE intiatives at the different projects within the Group. Christine is responsible for building a strong safety culture for a team of more than 200 employees. Her expertise extends to promoting safety awareness and accountability, providing advice to on-site personnel, and coordinating with site teams for daily inspections. She also takes charge of the testing and inspection of materials, equipment, instruments, and activities to ensure compliance with procedures.
Christine holds an International General Certificate from Nebosh in Workplace Safety and Health, a Certificate in First Aid, HIV Awareness and Peer Education, and a Certificate in Occupational HSE and Fire Fighting. These qualifications highlight her comprehensive knowledge and skills in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Sarah's professional journey is marked by a strong interest in impact measurement and monitoring, recognizing the importance of assessing the social and environmental impacts of projects and investments. This passion led her to pursue a DPhil at the University of Oxford, where her research focused on impact investing, sustainable development, and corporate social responsibility within the African context.
As the Founder and CEO of Nia Impact Consult, a boutique advisory firm based in Johannesburg and London, Sarah supports families, investors, and businesses in optimizing their environmental and social impact in the African market. She works closely with corporations and family offices, assisting them in developing and implementing their impact and ESG strategies.

Bushman currently serves as the Mechanical Supervisor at CSI Energy Group on the Filtration Plant Installation at Barrick Goldmine North Mara Project in Tanzania. In this role, he manages workflow, trains new hires, creates and manages team schedules, reports to HSE and senior management, evaluates performance and provides feedback, identifies career advancement opportunities, and helps resolve employee issues and disputes. His leadership ensures that projects run smoothly and efficiently, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
With 30 years of experience, Bushman has worked on several significant projects across Africa, including the Kinyerezi 1 Power Plant Project, Kinyerezi II Power Plant Project, Kabul 100MW Power Plant Project, and Schlumberger Workshop Steel Erection in Mtwara. His extensive experience as a fitter and supervisor has equipped him with the skills and knowledge to handle complex mechanical installations and lead teams effectively. He is one of the oldest employees at CSI Energy Group, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the company's values and operations.

Additionally, she oversees CV screening, interviews, selection, onboarding of new employees, and legal aspects of company administration. Fortuna is a registered graduate engineer with acquired knowledge of quality control inspection, reporting, compliance and strong communication skills in working collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders. In her current role as QC Civil Support at CSI Energy Group on the Kinyerezi 1 Extension 185MW Open Cycle Power Plant in Tanzania she is responsible for preparing work method statements, inspection plans and checklists and assembling all QAQC documents required for the project, coordinating and attending internal and external work inspections, monitoring and managing efficient work systems and recording all construction activities, among others.
She is holder of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Dar es salaam in Tanzania, with specialisation in structural engineering, highway and transportation engineering, water resources engineering, and construction management.

Lilian currently holds the role of Engineer Electrical on the Kinyerezi 1 Extension 185MW Open Cycle Power Plant Project in Tanzania. She is responsible of ascertaining site condition in conformity to design condition, to study design considerations and drawing, assess material conformity as per specification, and to assess requisite quantities/short delivery. Her job also consists of supervising end-to-end execution of the project and liaising with clients and controlling usage of materials.
Lilian is holder of a Bachelor of Electrical Electronic engineering from St.Joseph University in Tanzania. She has pursued further trainings and has been awarded the following certificates: Certificate of Wind converter installations Commissioning, Work at Height and Rescue for Wind energy converter, First Aid Safety, and Industry Passport.
