Description

As an Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee the installation and maintenance of critical electrical systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and project specifications. Key responsibilities
  • Operational Management

    • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all plant and equipment assigned to departments and projects.
    • Supervise, schedule, assign, and evaluate work of subordinates.
    • Oversee stock room supplies, inventory, purchase orders, and billing through an inventory system.
    • Maintain forms and records necessary to provide billing, payroll, and equipment records.
    • Implement and monitor a preventative maintenance program to ensure cost-effectiveness.
    • Enforce safety practices and procedures and ensure employees receive appropriate safety training.
    • Monitor user departments through analysis of plant and equipment utilization and evaluation of equipment specifications.
    • Perform physical inspections and tests before plant/equipment is turned back to user departments.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate line manager.

  • Planning

    • Prepare next day’s work plan.

  • People and Relationship Management

    • Train, coach, and manage the performance of subordinates effectively.
    • Instill a “one-family” culture and act as an ambassador for the company’s vision, mission, and values.

  • Reporting & Analysis

    • Prepare daily reports, observations, and non-conformance reports as necessary.
    • Prepare inspection reports.

  • Budget Management

    • Not applicable.

  • HSEQ

    • Follow HSEQ procedures at all times.

  • Compliance

    • Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

  • Other Duties

    • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Education/Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Work experience:
    • Previous construction experience within the oil and gas and power industry.
    • Experience with high-voltage electrical installations, including switchgear and electric drives.
    • Exposure to hazardous area installations.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • IT skills:
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Hazardous Area installation and inspection experience is an advantage.
  • Language: Fluent in English.

Key Competencies and Skills

  1. Working knowledge of BS/IEC/ISO/API/ATEX/EEMUA codes and standards relating to electrical and instrumentation work.
  2. Understanding of construction standards, codes of practice, and regulations related to electrical and instrumentation work.
  3. Knowledge of safety legislation and regulations.
  4. Ability to work under pressure.
  5. Goal-oriented mindset.
