Three in a Row: Tanzania Top 100 Companies

For the third consecutive year, our subsidiary in Tanzania has been voted one of the best mid-sized businesses in the country, receiving the prestigious award at a gala dinner in Dar es Salaam.

Speaking after the event CSI Energy Group’s CEO, Chris Glasson, said: “We are so proud of CSI Electrical, which began just a decade ago as a small company and has now grown into a multi-million dollar business.

CSI Electrical was the first of the CSI companies and encapsulates the vision and values that guide our entire group: excellent work, ethical practice and social responsibility. The same model is applied to the Group, hence positively impacting the lives of millions of people across Sub-Saharan Africa as a result of improved infrastructure and increased access to energy.

We could not have received this honour without the incredible individuals that work for CSI in Tanzania: it is their dedication and passion that has allowed our company to grow in the positive direction that it has, and I would like to thank each and every one of them for what they bring to work each and every day.”

The survey of ‘Top 100 Mid-Sized Companies’ was started in 2010 to showcase business excellence and entrepreneurial success. It is the brainchild of KPMG and Mwananchi Communications and sponsored by the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange, Bank M and Azam TV. The survey assesses companies that have an annual turnover of between one and 20 billion shillings.
